College should not be a continuation of high school. It’s where the a whole different world is opened up, and you have so many life choices to make. You need to plan everything out and not just skate through it.

No matter who you are, try using the campus gym. At the gym you will not only meet new people, but you will also stay healthy. You can also take friends with you to the gym to make it more of a social outing.
It’s entirely possible to study abroad even if you have kids. Most students with children think that study abroad programs are out of the question. Talk to the person at your college who is in charge of abroad studies. There are some programs that do not accommodate children, but some can handle a large brood.
Eat on campus to keep costs down. Eating at restaurants regularly can be expensive and not great in terms of the “freshman 15″ either. Therefore, purchase a meal plan so you can eat in cafeterias cheaply rather than going out. Use money you would have used for junk food and buy filling, healthy groceries instead.
